Adani Group advances ₹2.6 trillion Maharashtra blueprint
Adani Group is executing projects worth ₹2.6 trillion in Maharashtra, focusing on airport-linked business districts and the Dharavi redevelopment.

Adani Group has completed or is executing projects worth ₹2.6 trillion in Maharashtra. The conglomerate is developing integrated airport business and hospitality districts around Mumbai’s two aviation gateways to reshape urban mobility and commerce. This forms part of a wider investment blueprint exceeding ₹6 lakh crore across critical sectors like energy, aviation, urban regeneration, data centres, and coal gasification.
Pranav Adani, Managing Director, Agro, Oil & Gas for Adani Group, confirmed the scale at a launch event in Mumbai. "Projects worth ₹2.6 trillion are already completed or under execution," he said. The group manages the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and is developing the new Navi Mumbai International Airport, designed for over 90 million passengers annually. The airport-linked districts are central to this urban strategy.
Dharavi Redevelopment Project framed as part of Mumbai 3.0 vision
The Dharavi Redevelopment Project is positioned as a key urban transformation initiative under the 'Mumbai 3.0' framework. Adani described it as part of the group's contribution to a metropolitan region that is better connected, more balanced, and inclusive. The project aims to create modern housing before relocation, formalise and safeguard thousands of microenterprises, and transform Asia’s largest informal settlement into a vibrant economic hub without displacing the community. It is framed as a core element of reshaping Mumbai's urban and economic landscape.
Adani strengthens Maharashtra’s power infrastructure with renewable focus
Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd supplies power to more than 3 million homes and establishments across the city. More than 60 per cent of this power comes from renewable energy sources. The group is expanding its green baseload capacity through pumped-storage hydro initiatives across Maharashtra. It has also established a 1,000 Megawatt High Voltage Direct Current transmission link to bring resilient, clean power directly into Mumbai. This infrastructure is intended to insulate Mumbai’s financial core from outages, with AEML targeting a future renewable share of 70% and beyond.
Invest Maharashtra launch aims to convert intent into on-ground execution
Adani highlighted the recent launch of Invest Maharashtra, the state’s investment promotion agency, as a critical mechanism. He stated it would convert investor intent into relentless on-ground execution. This aligns with Maharashtra’s goal to become a $1 trillion economy by 2030. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region is expected to be a key driver of this economic expansion. The group aims to contribute to the state’s industrial growth while supporting broader development objectives. Pranav Adani concluded, "Because when Maharashtra wins, India wins."
Adani Group’s investment blueprint for Maharashtra exceeds ₹6 lakh crore, with integrated airport-linked districts and urban regeneration projects central to its execution.
