Amrutanjan Health Care aims to set up 100,000 direct chemist outlets in the 2027 financial year. The company's Chairman and Managing Director, S Sambhu Prasad, stated this goal in a report from The Economic Times, emphasizing a push beyond its traditional strong markets in south and east India.

In FY26, the firm added 44,000 new chemist outlets. It continues to widen distribution in new markets while deepening penetration in existing strongholds.

Financial Performance and Growth Drivers

Amrutanjan reported an 11.23 per cent increase in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 502.55 crore in FY26. Its net profit grew nearly 14 per cent to Rs 57.92 crore. The company currently employs over 650 people.

Pain management and women's hygiene categories drove growth last fiscal year. The brands Amrutanjan and Comfy led this expansion. The overall pain-management category recorded 10 per cent gross sales growth. Within it, the headache category grew 8 per cent and the body-ache category grew 16 per cent.

Strategic Expansion and Brand Initiatives

The company's growth strategy focuses on distribution, brand-building, portfolio expansion, and people capabilities. It deepened penetration in core markets using rural distribution and low-price packs. Investments were also made in low-contribution markets.

Amrutanjan plans to relaunch its congestion-relief brand, Relief, during the current year. In the hygiene space, the company focuses on women's hygiene with the brand Comfy. Launched in 2013, Comfy occupies the fourth position nationally in the mass pad segment, according to the CMD.

The brand Comfy is being expanded into a broader women's wellness market.

Digital and E-commerce Focus

Digitisation is a key focus area. S Sambhu Prasad said 70 per cent of critical processes are automated, with plans to make this close to 100 per cent. He noted the successful launch of the Amrutanjan brand on Amazon USA and Amazon India as a testament to increasing digital commerce capability.

Amrutanjan remains confident about the FY27 demand environment. This confidence is supported by differentiated value propositions across its portfolio.

The company's stated goal is to achieve the 100,000 direct chemist outlets in FY27. It wishes to further increase overall reach and availability of its brands.
