LG Electronics India Sees Strong Growth in FY27, Driven by Bigger Screens and Premium Appliances

## LG Electronics India Sees Strong Growth in FY27 LG Electronics India has reported strong growth in the June quarter, with revenue from operations rising 15.5% year-on-year to Rs 7,233 crore. The company's profit after tax jumped 27.2% to Rs 653 crore, while EBITDA grew 26.2% to Rs 904 crore, with the margin expanding to 12.5% from 11.4% a year earlier. ## Bigger Screens Drive Television Growth Televisions emerged as a key growth driver for LG Electronics India, with consumers showing a stronger preference for larger screens and premium technologies such as OLED and QNED. The company's Home Entertainment business recorded a 22.3% increase in sales to Rs 1,657 crore in Q1 FY27. A sports event also helped accelerate television upgrades during the quarter, the company said. LG now expects the festive season to provide another boost, with early channel stocking already underway ahead of Onam, Durga Puja, and Diwali. The company expects the shift towards larger screens to continue and plans new launches across its OLED and QNED ranges. ## Premium Appliances Add to Momentum LG's Home Appliances & Air Solutions business grew 13.6% in sales to Rs 5,577 crore during the quarter. The company saw strong demand for premium, large-capacity products, including French Door and side-by-side refrigerators, 8kg-plus washing machines, and dishwashers. Washing machines also recorded robust growth despite being outside their traditional peak season, helped by monsoon-driven consumption. The LG Essential range continued to expand across volume markets, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. LG expects large-capacity Essential Series products and new launches to drive the next leg of growth, while premium refrigerators and AI Direct Drive washing machines are expected to remain key contributors. ## Festive Demand, Exports to Support FY27 With the festive season approaching, LG expects demand to remain favourable across categories. The company said pricing has remained resilient as the industry absorbed higher input costs through calibrated price increases. Its Information Display business recorded its highest-ever quarterly performance, supported by government and institutional orders. LG expects new launches, including electronic blackboards and second-generation Micro LED (MAGNIT), to support the business, while its higher-margin AMC and non-hardware services business continues to scale. ## LG Keeps FY27 Outlook Intact LG India Managing Director Hong Ju Jeon said the quarter showed that the company's growth was not dependent on a single category or season. The company remains focused on its Make-in-India, Make-for-India, and Make-India-Global strategy, while using pricing discipline, operational efficiencies, and localisation to protect margins. With bigger screens, premium appliances, exports, and B2B operations providing multiple avenues for growth, LG retained its FY27 guidance of mid-teen revenue growth and an early double-digit EBITDA margin.
